- Environmental Communicator – Climate Change and Project Management Professional – Entrepreneur -Animal Welfare Advocate
- Has an environmental management background and is working as an experienced professional with over 7 years of experience in the fields of communications, climate change and project development & management with interventions focused on achieving sustainable development goals. Furthermore, Romano is keen on expanding his knowledge in many fields and is currently pursuing a law degree.
- Conducted pioneer research on tracking wildlife (Bradypus tridactulus) in Suriname with GPS collars and VHF equipment for the Green Heritage foundation Suriname. Successfully set up three impactful social entrepreneurship ventures with and for marginalized communities in the hinterlands of Suriname.
- Passionate about bio-cultural conservation (biodiversity, tropical forest, ecosystem services, culture, and traditional knowledge), environmental policy, socio-economic and animal welfare challenges in Suriname.
- Nature minded; loves forest hikes and swimming in creeks.Good vibes; long drives, good company and drinks.Socially active; volunteer at different organizations for values and causes mentioned before.
